Adopt Dimitri – Affectionate, Quirky, and Loyal 4-Year-Old Male Biewer Yorkie

Dimitri is a 4-year-old male Biewer Yorkshire Terrier, born on 13 August 2021, and he’s looking for his perfect forever home in Kimberley, Northern Cape.

Known affectionately “Professional Snugglebug”, Dimitri is a true lap dog who loves warmth, cuddles, and being as close to his human as possible. This little spoon is not just affectionate — he’s a devoted mini heater who takes his job of keeping you company very seriously.

Dimitri is house-trained but may have the occasional accident if he’s left alone or stressed, so he’ll need a calm environment and a consistent routine. He gets along beautifully with dogs and cats when introduced properly and enjoys their company once he feels comfortable.

He’s protective of his person and his bones, enjoys sunbathing (even if it gives him a sunburn), car rides, blanket snuggles, and kisses — both giving and receiving! Dimitri doesn’t like walks much unless he’s carried like a baby, and while he can bark to alert you of something unusual, he settles quickly when reassured.

Because he hasn’t spent much time around children, Dimitri would do best in an adult-only home or one with older, calm teenagers who respect small dogs. He needs a secure garden since he can squeeze through palisade fencing, though he always returns quickly to his family.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and slightly cheeky little character who’ll make every day brighter, Dimitri is the perfect match.

  • Obedient but has a “do what I want, when I want” streak

  • Prefers hoarding toys to playing with them – will share with you but not other pets

  • Sensitive tummy and hindquarters – needs gentle handling
