🐶 Meet Frikkie & Mia – Two Sweet 7-Year-Olds Needing Separate Homes

Today we have a highly urgent situation in Brackenfell, Western Cape! We are looking to find two separate, loving forever homes for two wonderful 7-year-old Yorkies. Both dogs have families who are relocating, meaning they desperately need a second chance. Please note: They are not bonded and can be adopted out individually to the right families!

Frikkie is an upbeat, playful, and incredibly loving boy who thrives on human attention. He is fully housetrained, walks well on a leash, and gets along excellently with children and other dogs. He takes pride in being the neighborhood watch and will happily bark to alert you of passersby. Most importantly, Frikkie is a world-class snuggler who absolutely insists on sleeping on the bed with his humans at night! He currently enjoys a delicious diet of canine pellets, blended chicken, liver, and sweet potato on rice.

Mia is a deeply affectionate, peaceful soul who doesn't bark for no reason. Weighing a perfect 4kg, she is sterilized, highly people-oriented, and simply wants to be by your side. Like Frikkie, she is brilliant with kids and other dogs, but she is strictly not good with cats, requiring a feline-free home. If you are looking to rescue a mature Yorkie in the Western Cape, both of these sweet souls are waiting for their heroes!

  • Temperament: Frikkie: Playful, alert, and a major bed-cuddler. Mia: Very affectionate, peaceful, and heavily people-oriented.

  • Good with Dogs: Yes, both are excellent with other dogs!

  • Good with Cats: Frikkie: Unknown. Mia: No, Mia requires a strictly feline-free home.

  • Good with Children: Yes, both are fantastic with children!

  • Housetraining: Both are fully housetrained and leash-trained.

  • Health/Special Needs: Both are very healthy. Mia is sterilized; Frikkie is unsterilized (normal sterilization procedures will be applied).
    Neither are escape artists.

  • Ideal Home: Frikkie: A loving home that allows dogs on the bed. Mia: A warm, cat-free family. Both are perfect for households with kids and other dogs!
