🐶 Meet Liefde – A Loyal Companion Seeking a New Chapter

Liefde, whose name means "Love," is a gentle soul who recently found himself in a heartbreaking situation. After his beloved owner passed away, this dear boy was left without a home. He was the light of his "mum's" life, and it shows in his incredibly loving and devoted nature. Currently located in Gordons Bay, Liefde is looking for a family who can offer him the same warmth and companionship he has known for the last 11 years.

At approximately 11 years old, Liefde is a senior gentleman who still has plenty of life and affection to give. He is a sturdy boy, weighing in at approximately 10kg, making him a wonderful "sturdy" Yorkie for those who prefer a dog that isn't too fragile. He has excellent house manners and has been described as a truly "dear son" by those who know him best.

Liefde is the kind of dog who simply wants to be by your side. He isn't an escape artist and has never tried to run away; he knows exactly where he belongs—right next to his humans. If you are looking for a loyal friend to share your quiet afternoons and cozy evenings, Liefde is waiting to fill your heart with his namesake love.

💖 Liefde's Personality and Needs

  • Age: 11 years old

  • Temperament: He is incredibly loving and devoted. While he is not aggressive, he is a confident boy who will stand his ground when he feels it's necessary.

  • Good with Dogs: Unknown. He may be best as an only dog or with a very calm companion, as he is used to being the center of attention.

  • Good with Cats: No. Liefde prefers a home without feline friends.

  • Good with Children: Yes. He is gentle and has a history of being good with children.

  • Housetraining: Excellent. He is a well-mannered gentleman indoors.

  • Health/Special Needs: He is a senior dog but appears to be in good health for his age.

  • Ideal Home: A calm, loving environment where he can enjoy his retirement years. He would thrive with someone who is home often to provide the companionship he craves. He must be allowed to sleep on his "bed and blanky" near his humans.

                                               Liefde

❤️ Ready to give this sweetheart a forever home?

Liefde has lost his world, but you could be the one to give him a new one. By adopting a senior Yorkie, you aren't just gaining a pet; you're gaining a soul that is already grateful, trained, and ready to love you unconditionally from day one.
