Buttons is a gorgeous 13-year-old male Yorkshire Terrier who is searching for a loving new forever home due to heartbreaking, unforeseen life changes. Buttons is deeply loved, and finding him a safe, stable, and caring home where he can spend his golden years happy and pampered is our absolute top priority.
Despite being a senior boy, Buttons is in wonderful overall health! He is a low-maintenance gentleman who is perfectly happy to spend a good part of his day sleeping and resting, but still has delightful bursts of energy where he is playful and loves being around his humans. He is not shy at all, highly social, and absolutely excellent in the car. He is also perfectly fine being home alone during the day and will greet you with excited, happy barks when you arrive home.
Buttons is exceptionally well-behaved and fully housetrained. He will scratch at the door when he needs to go outside, though he is a bit of a pampered prince and dislikes wet grass—he appreciates being carried to a dry patch on rainy days! He has always been around other dogs with no issues, and he is friendly with children. Because he has not spent time around cats, he is quite scared of them, so a cat-free home would be best for this sweet boy.
