Lexi is an incredibly sweet, 8-year-old female Yorkie crossbreed who is looking for a fresh start in life. She is currently in Cape Town. This precious girl is ready to find her true forever family who will cherish her.
This beautiful girl has recently gone through a lot of emotional change. She was deeply attached to her beloved "Granny" who sadly passed away recently, and Lexi has been grieving. She has experienced some separation anxiety. Lexi needs a warm, patient, and understanding home where she can feel secure, rebuild her confidence, and know that she is never going to be abandoned.
Despite her grief, Lexi’s friendly spirit shines so bright! She absolutely loves people—even strangers—and will happily approach anyone for some love and attention. She is highly affectionate, loves being cuddled and held, and will enthusiastically return any kisses you give her. If you take her to the beach or play a fun game of fetch with her, you'll see her light up with pure, puppy-like joy!

Temperament: Extremely friendly, affectionate, and people-loving. She loves playing fetch, visiting the beach, receiving cuddles, and giving sweet kisses. She is currently grieving the loss of her beloved grandmother and suffers from separation anxiety, needing a patient home where she won't be left alone for long periods.
Good with Dogs: Generally good with other dogs. She gets along very well with small dogs, but big dogs will require slow and careful introductions. She will join in when other dogs start barking.
Good with Cats: Unknown / not tested.
Good with Children: Excellent. She has a very gentle, loving nature around kids.
Housetraining: Yes, she is fully house-trained.
Health/Special Needs: Not sterilized - standard SA Yorkie Rescue sterilization procedures apply.
. Lexi has a lump/growth between her nipples. It does not cause her any pain, distress, or discomfort when touched, and she seems completely unbothered by it. Her teeth are in good condition and are regularly cleaned at the vet.
Ideal Home: A loving, secure home with someone who is home most of the day to help ease her separation anxiety. Her new home must have highly secure boundaries (fences and gates), as Lexi is a known escape artist who can slip through gates, jump walls, dig out, or slip her harness. A home with a small, friendly canine companion to keep her company would be wonderful. Any swimming pool must be securely fenced as she is not used to pools and requires strict supervision.
