Ruby is a gorgeous 10-year-old Morkie (Yorkshire Terrier cross Maltese) currently living in Sea Point, Cape Town. She is an absolute sweetheart who deeply loves people and has a wonderful, energetic spark for her age. Ruby walks beautifully on a lead three times a week and absolutely loves her food—watching her get excited for mealtime is pure joy! She is a sweet, cute, and funny little soul who is ready to bring endless laughter and companionship to her new home.
However, as Ruby has matured, she has made it very clear that she wants to be the center of her human's universe. She is currently living in a home with large dogs, but she has become dominant and possessive when her humans are around, making her unhappy in a multi-dog environment. To bring out her absolute best, sweetest side, Ruby needs to be the only dog in a calm, loving household. She would be the ultimate companion for an elderly person or a quiet household where she can receive undivided love and be treated like the royalty she is.
Ruby has a manageable skin allergy that is easily controlled with a daily cortisone-type tablet and regular baths with medicated shampoo. Her loving owner is so committed to her finding the perfect home.
