Life changes mean this sweet boy needs a fresh start with the perfect family. Meet Atticus, an 8-year-old rescue Yorkie who is healthy, vibrant, and full of love! Weighing in at about 6kg, he is a sturdy, sweet companion who thoroughly enjoys his daily walks on his harness and leash. He has a great appetite for his kibble and sachets, but the fastest way to his heart is definitely through some yummy doggy treats!

Atticus is wonderfully sociable and gets along excellently with other dogs. Because he will be parting ways with his previous canine best friend, he might feel a little sad and lonely during his initial transition. A loving, patient home—ideally with another friendly dog to welcome him and show him the ropes—would be the absolute perfect environment to help him heal and settle into his exciting new chapter.

This inquisitive boy has a real zest for life and loves to use his voice!   • Age: 8 years old

  • Temperament: Loving, active, inquisitive, and sweet. He is a vocal boy who enjoys barking.

  • Good with Dogs: Excellent! He loves canine companionship.

  • Good with Cats: He lived with cats years ago, but has no recent experience. Slow, supervised introductions would be required.

  • Good with Children: No experience with children, so an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teens is preferred.

  • Housetraining: Yes, perfectly housetrained.

  • Health/Special Needs: Healthy and active. He is sterilized and used to being around a swimming pool. He is not currently microchipped.

  • Ideal Home: A very secure property (no gaps in gates or fences, as he is an escape artist) where his chatty nature is welcomed. A patient family ready to give him extra TLC while he adjusts to life without his previous doggy friend.
