As a young and energetic boy, he would thrive with a family committed to daily exercise, regular walks and gentle basic leash training.
Please note that Alfie has a few strict boundaries: he is not suited for homes with small children, as he does not tolerate rough handling and will nip if treated too roughly. He also has a natural instinct to chase cats, so a feline-free home is highly recommended. Good with Dogs: Excellent. He loves other dogs and does very well in their company.
Good with Cats: No. He tends to enjoy chasing cats, so a home without cats is best.
Good with Children: He does not like small children and will nip if they get rough with him. An adult-only home or one with older children/mature teenagers is required.
Housetraining: Yes, he is fully house-trained.
Health/Special Needs: Good health. He is not yet sterilized (standard SAYR sterilization procedures apply). He is not yet trained to walk on a leash.
Ideal Home: An active home with a highly secure yard (he is an escape artist!). He needs owners who are home during the day, committed to giving him regular walks, leash training, and plenty of mental stimulation.
