Molly is a lovely, golden-coated senior female Yorkshire Terrier who is approximately 10 years old and weighs around 4kg. Located in the beautiful coastal suburb of Bakoven, Western Cape, Molly is a wonderfully calm, independent, and affectionate girl. She is looking for a specialized forever home where she can spend her golden years in safety, comfort, and peace.
At home, Molly is a dream companion. She is quite lazy, loves to snuggle up on a warm lap, and is perfectly content sleeping in her basket. She is fully housetrained and lives very peacefully with other animals. In fact, she currently lives with a cat and a Great Dane—whom she hilariously "bosses" around!
Molly has suddenly started escaping her current property when her owners are away, even managing to scramble over high walls and through electric fencing to go on solo adventures down busy roads. Because of this high-risk behavior, her ideal home must be exceptionally secure, and she needs an owner who is retired, works from home, or is home most of the day. When people are present, Molly is perfectly relaxed and has no desire to escape. If you can provide a secure, loving environment, Molly will reward you with quiet devotion and endless love.

Temperament: Calm, independent, and very affectionate. She is a quiet lap dog who loves to relax but becomes anxious and prone to escaping when left entirely alone.
Good with Dogs: Excellent. She is very comfortable around other dogs and currently coexists beautifully with a Great Dane.
Good with Cats: Excellent. She lives successfully and peacefully with a resident cat.
Good with Children: Not good with children. Molly does not enjoy the company of youngsters and requires an adult-only home.
Housetraining: Yes, she is fully housetrained.
Health/Special Needs: Molly had approximately six teeth removed earlier this year, but she still eats her Yorkie kibble easily when mixed with a bit of soft food. She is otherwise healthy, active for her age, and up to date on her annual veterinary check-ups.
Ideal Home: A highly secure, escape-proof property with vigilant owners who are home most of the day. She would suit a retired person or couple looking for a gentle, low-maintenance companion. Due to her escape risk, she must be walked on a secure harness and lead when outside the property.
